Script2Screen

Script2Screen emulates professional world of Hollywood. The writer writes the script and then sends the script to producers and studios. The lucky writer “sells” his screenplay to a studio. The studio will then develop the screenplay further. Other writers or directors usually rewrite the screenplay during this development process. As production moves forward, the screenplay changes still due to casting, locations, budgets and even weather.

We believe replicate this production experience across classes. Scripts written in TRF 211 and Introduction to Screenwriting are filmed in production and direction classes. Students are the writers. Students are the buyers. Production students have an existing script to work with, freeing up creative time to concentrate on the demands of production. The writer gets to see their work produced.

Hollywood is all about collaboration. We want students to start working together now.
